Umicore Precious Metals Refining recycles and refines precious metals and other non-ferrous metals from a wide range of complex industrial intermediate materials (i.e. by-products from other non-ferrous smelting & refining operations). We also handle precious metal bearing scrap from various origin e.g. from electronic, photographic and catalytic applications.
As one of the leading business units of Umicore, Umicore Precious Metals Refining (UPMR) is part of the Precious Metals Services group. In 2005, this group provided a steady income for over 1300 people, while generating a turnover of € 3,133 million.
