Metals management completes the supply chain

By providing distinctive services to our raw material suppliers, Umicore Precious Metals Refining is recognized as a world class player; not only for the quality of its technologies and products, but also for the quality of its outperforming services.

  1. The company often acts as a toll refiner, where the metals that are contained in the raw materials are completely or partially returned to the supplier.
  2. Alternatively, Umicore Precious Metals Refining purchases the raw materials or the metals contained, and uses its expertise to sell the valuable metals at the best available market conditions.
  3. Metals can be used for trading purposes within our VAT warehouse. This administrative facility allows chain sales on refined metals, located in Hoboken, without application of the Belgian VAT and without VAT registration of foreign third parties in Belgium.
  4. Specific services are provided, such as leasing, swaps, metal transfers or any other techniques aiming at reducing capital employed or matching our customers' needs.
